ERA Fellowships – Green Hydrogen
With the programme, the DAAD is supporting the implementation of the strategic research and innovation agenda (SRIA) adopted in 2022 in the context of the European agenda process on Green Hydrogen, a pilot initiative of the European Research Area (ERA).
Who is eligible to apply?
You are eligible to apply if you are:
• a Master student in the field of Green Hydrogen (GH2) and enrolled in a university in the extended European Research Area (ERA)
• a PhD student in the field of Green Hydrogen (GH2) and enrolled in a uni-versity in the extended European Research Area (ERA)
• a PostDoc working in the field of Green Hydrogen (GH2) from universities in the extended European Research Area (ERA)
What are the funding possibilities?
With the programme, we are offering a stay in Germany for:
• international Master students
– study fellowships for 3 to 24 months (as part or as a complete Master course)
– short term fellowships for a thesis for 2 to 6 months
– short term fellowships for an internship for 2 to 3 months
• international PhD students
– research fellowships for 3 to 24 months
– short term fellowships for an internship for 2 to 3 months
• international PostDocs
– research fellowships for 1 to 24 months
Applicants from the following countries are eligible to apply: EU member states, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Israel, Ko-sovo, Morocco, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Türkiye, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom.
Additionally to the fellowship, networking activities are offered to all fellows, in particular four working groups (on the topics of production, transport, market stimulation and cross-cutting issues). Please indicate in your letter of motivation in which working group you would like to participate.
Applicants from all scientific disciplines whose study or research focus is clearly related to the topic of Green Hydrogen are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted anytime until 27 April 2023. The fellowship can be commenced at the beginning of each month from 1 September 2023.
